Exciting times for the Felti! Donovan Anthony Cortese, was born this past Saturday, making me an Aunt for the first time… I’m very excited about this opportunity as my Aunts are some of my favorite family members.
Unfortunately with all this training, Jason and I were not able to make it up to NJ, so we have yet to meet little Donnie, but are very anxious to do so!
Any here’s a little something else that I tried about a month ago for the baby shower – making baby onesies!
The process was actually very easy (especially since I had the help of Mom – it was actually a Mother’s Day craft – check out her blog!)
- First, mom made some patterns and cut the fabric and iron-on fuse stuff (like wonder-under) for each design.
- Then, they were ironed to the onesies.
- Finally, I used the sewing machine (heck yea!) and did a zig-zag stick around the borders to tack them down.
- If needed, buttons were added last!
Other than that, my life is back to being consumed by swimming, biking, and running. I went for my longest swim in at least 8 years (if not more… possibly dating back to my year-round days at GCY) this morning with a 3500 set. And tonight, I’m headed back into the Hot Yoga studio for the first time in months to work on thinking happy thoughts in the heat!
On a side note, I ordered a whole bunch of stuff from Amazon which will be coming throughout the week. Most of it is for Louisville. I’ll share my swag with you soon, but as a preview… Jason is most excited about the sneaker balls that arrived today for my five fingers, bike shoes, and new tri Altras!
To my Ironman Louisville Race for a Cause to benefit the
