Weekly Swim Workout #5

And just when you thought I’d forgotten about you and your new-found dependence on my Weekly Swim Workouts. Well, I didn’t!!! I just happened to be on vacation in NYC for Thanksgiving with my family and have been catching up all week. Obviously, I haven’t done a very good job since I”m doing something I would normally do on Monday morning on a Friday night. Oh well, here goes! Just keep swimmin’

Warm-up: Total of 700

  • 200 swim, rest :20
  • 100 pull, rest :20
  • 100 kick, rest :20
  • 6 x 50 (drill/swim by 25), rest :10 after each

Main set: 3 x 400, total of 1200

  • 400 swim, long and strong, rest :60
  • 400 swim, trying to hold same pace as #1, rest :60
  • 400 swim, trying to hold same pace as #2

Cool down:

  • 100 easy swim

And in case you were wondering, we had a great time in NYC. We say 2 Broadway musicals – Beautiful and The Book of Mormon – both excellent! And of course we couldn’t go a week without exercise… my dad, husband, and I went on a fabulous run from our Chinatown loft across the Brooklyn Bridge and back on the Manhattan Bridge.
